CIMA Special Pathways

These pathways are designed for senior finance professionals with significant experience and/or existing qualifications. It provides an accelerated entry into CIMA membership, recognizing your expertise and allowing you to achieve the CGMA designation faster.

Any entry route you choose under these special pathways is a perfect option especially if you are an experienced leader seeking global recognition of your professional standing. 

Exemptions are awarded to individuals depending on their experience, which will then qualify the applicant for the appropriate package after they have been assessed.

CIMA will conduct an assessment and you would be accepted onto the CIMA qualification, which would be the start of your CIMA journey. Successful applicants will be notified of which level they would qualify for.

NOTE: Should you qualify and pass your Case Study Exams under any special pathway route , you will be required to complete the CIMA PER Process to gain the CGMA Designation!

CGMA Corporate Senior Executive Program (C-SEP Route)

The Senior Executive Program is designed with multiple entry points to the CIMA Professional Qualification based on your work experience in finance, accounting and business functions to fast-track mid-level managers in finance, accounting, and business.

Through this route, you are recognised for and awarded exemptions based on your work experience. Only CIMA can evaluate your work experience once you submit your CV and supporting documents.

Interested Candidates Must Meet the requirements below and apply directly through CIMA.

Qualification Criteria: The programme is most suitable for professionals with at least 6 years of experience in finance,  accounting, and business, including working in a management role for the past three years.

Cost: GBP3,000 **This cost does not cover books and tuition support**  

Benefits: CIMA Registration fee, Exemptions, 1 x MCS exam, 1 x SCS exam, 1 x annual subscription fee under the Traditional Route. FLP doesn't apply to C-SEP.
