Char­terQuest [herein referred to as CQ] recog­nises the right to pri­vacy of all inter­net users and its stu­dents, actual and prospec­tive, and is com­mit­ted to pro­tect­ing the pri­vacy inter­ests of all vis­i­tors to its web­site as well as users who send or receive elec­tronic com­mu­ni­ca­tion to or from the com­pany. This pol­icy sum­marises the col­lec­tion and use of infor­ma­tion gath­ered by the CQ web­site, and other rel­e­vant pri­vacy issues.

CQ only col­lects per­sonal infor­ma­tion vol­un­tar­ily pro­vided by its stu­dents and users of this site. Col­lected infor­ma­tion will become an integral part of CQs database and will only be used internally for statistics or, marketing purposes for which you will have an option to subscribe out. Your personal data will not be sold. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under our instructions (for example our student-management, email and WhatsApp systems, payment providers, and advertising platforms such as Meta and Google), as described on this page, where the law requires it, or with your consent. All personal data collected will be archived and/or disposed of at CQs discretion and will only be handled in accordance with the personal data protection & privacy laws of the Republic of South Africa [POPI Act].

Cer­tain tech­ni­cal infor­ma­tion, such as the type of browser or oper­at­ing sys­tem used and user domain name, may be auto­mat­i­cally col­lected in an aggre­gate, non-​identifiable form. This infor­ma­tion only enables CQ to mea­sure site usage and improve this site to bet­ter suit cus­tomer needs.

Our web­site may con­tain links to sites of other organ­i­sa­tions. CQ is not respon­si­ble for the con­tent of any of those sites and can­not guar­an­tee that they main­tain the same pri­vacy stan­dards. Please refer to the pri­vacy poli­cies of those sites if you have any con­cerns.

Advertising and audience matching

We may use the contact details you give us (email address, phone number, first name, last name and country) and the value of what you have bought to show you, and people with similar interests, relevant ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. To do this we upload the details to the platform in a scrambled (hashed) form so it can match them to its own users. The platform does not give us any information about your account. We never share ID numbers, bank or card details or notes about your quote. The platforms process this data on our behalf and may do so outside South Africa. You can object at any time and we will remove you from these audiences: email [email protected] with the subject 'Opt out of ad audiences'. You can also change your ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings.

CharterQuest uses Google Ads API services to automate our internal marketing management. By using our services, you acknowledge that we may access, use, and transfer data via Google API services to manage, optimize, and report on our advertising campaigns .

2. Adherence to Limited Use Requirements

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Data Scope Clarification

We collect and use campaign metadata, performance metrics, and advertising settings solely to facilitate the automation of our internal marketing operations and to provide data-driven insights for campaign performance improvement
